Sea Robot
World`s leading offshore oil and gas induestry goes into depper water day by day with the help of ROVs(Remotely Operated Vehicle) and AUVs(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle)This ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) uses in different underwater application such as Underwater exploration & documentation, recoveries, inspections, search and rescue, trenching, cable burial and much more.
Today it is used in some major maritime sucurity issue such as
Ø Seaport / Port Security and Surveillance
Ø ,Ship Inspections
Ø Pipeline Inspections
Ø Oil Rig Surveillance and Inspections
Ø Docking Perimeter Inspections and Detections
Ø Barge Inspections
Ø Docked Cruise Ship Inspections
Ø Tanker Security and Inspections
Basic features on an ROV include:.
Ø Modular, mission-specific toolsled packages which can be changed out quickly and easily.
Ø High resolution video cameras with zoom and pan or tilt and fiber optic telemetry.
Ø Powerful electric thrusters to combine precise control, high thrust levels and relatively quiet operational capabilities.
Ø Variable buoyancy system which allows neutral buoyancy at all depths and during sampling operations.
Ø Scientific sensors and data logging integrated into the core vehicle system so the crew will be able to see and in some cases hear what is going on.
Ø multibeam sonar: produces high-resolution bathymetry.
Ø two frequencies of sidescan sonars: produce imagery based on the intensity of the sound energy's reflections.
Ø sub-bottom profiler : penetrates sediments on the seafloor, allowing the detection of layers within thesediments, faults, and depth to the basement rock.
All components are rated to 6000 m depth it runs on its own battery power until it returns to the ship, as programmed, for recovery.
AUV is mainly used in
Ø Observing water column
Ø Seafloar mapping
Ø Docking
